VW60 Acoustic Slat Panels - White Oak

We offer multiple sizes of acoustic slat panels:
1. 25.2" x 94.5" panels or ~2x8 feet. The panels can be cut to size seamlessly to achieve a size above 94.5"
2. 25.2" x 118.1" panels or ~2x10 feet. The panels can be cut to size seamlessly to achieve a size above 118.1"
3. 23.6" x 23.6" panels or ~2x2 feet.   

Wood slat panels are made with real wood veneer with a felt backing for class A sound absorption. 

Wood slat panels consists of a 0.35” recycled PET Polyester acoustic fabric on which are mounted 1.02” x 0.47” strips in MDF with real wood veneer based on the wood type purchased. The strips are spaced 0.55” apart.

We use real wood veneer with MDF and a felt backing over pure hardwood for a few reasons: 

1. Cost - Our wood veneer slat panels allow for the same look as hardwood but we can sell at a much lower price point. By using a felt backing, we are able to achieve quality sound absorption while utilizing a sustainable and lower cost resource than traditional hardwood. 

1. Durability - MDF panels with real wood veneer will be more durable than hardwood over time. Hardwood tends to shrink and expand which will change the look of a slat panel.  

3. Uniformity - Our real wood veneer slat panels are uniform in color and do not vary as much in color as traditional hardwood allowing for a uniform and clean look throughout your project. In addition, real wood veneer can be stained or painted in any color and will hold over time. 

Yes, our wood slat panels can be cut to any size and cut effortlessly. Make sure to use a wood saw blade that is sharp to ensure a clean cut. 

Wood slat panels are not hard to clean. Our slat wood panels come natural and we do recommend adding a wood oil which will protect the natural wood and give a finished look. This will also prevent dust. 

However, many customers keep the panels natural. If dust occurs, a dry cloth can remove any dust. 

Yes, our wood slat panels come with a natural color and finish. We recommend adding at least a clear stain to achieve a finished look but most customers install the wood panels natural right out of the box. 

Our wood panels can be stained or painted to achieve your perfect color.  

We have over 7 natural color options and are always creating new colors and experimenting with designs.

Additionally, our wood slat panels can be stained or painted to achieve certain colors.

We currently do not offer custom sizes at this time. If you are a trade account, we may be able to work with you on sizing for large orders (500+ SQFT)

There are 3 installation methods: 

1. Gluing straight onto the wall - A construction glue or grab adhesive is recommended for this

2. Screwing directly into the wall (Recommended): Using black screws for the black backing option or silver or grey screws for the grey backing, the panels can be screwed directly into the wall through the acoustic felt. We recommend a minimum of 9 screws per panel at 3.15” intervals across the width and 24” intervals down the length of the panel. If installing into ceilings, make sure they are screwed into ceiling joists. Please make sure the correct fixings are used if going into plasterboard, for example.

3. Screwing the panels into 1.8” timber battens (Best Acoustics): We recommend screwing 1.8” timber batons to the wall and then screwing the panels directly into the batons through the acoustic felt to achieve optimum sound absorption. Combined with Rockwool behind the panels between the batons, this will achieve Class A sound absorption

Our acoustic wood slat panels have a class A fire rating according to ASTM E84-16 

We ship to all 50 states in the US. Shipping time is based on location. 

We ship nationwide. If ordering 1-2 panels, we ship UPS Ground.

If ordering more than 2 panels, we ship via LTL freight where our slat panels are carefully packaged in individual carboard boxes and then put on a pallet to ensure a safe delivery. 

All residential freight deliveries are curbside delivery and include a liftgate for easy unloading.
